aight, since it's running, does it rev properly? or does it fight to climb in the rpm? i'm thinking it could possiblly be the fuel filter, or maybe like a clogged injector, so its still getting gas but not enough. did ya notice anything else about it that seems out of the ordinary?

it will start and run rough at about 250 rpm but if you shut it off it will not start again for awhile. i put new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

i worked on it again last night, put a new fuel filter in, since the car has 200k on it. and replaced the injectors. the fuel purge valve makes a clicking sound so i am replacing that too. the timing just does not look right. shouldnt the marks on the cam gears all line up? if you give it any gas it will stall. idles at 200rpm, you know what that sounds like.

i think i am getting fuel pressure, the wagon had the d16 in it before and ran fine except for bad rings. if the map sensor was bad it would throw a code, right? i did not even think to check the cat might be pluged, i will check that. any other ideas?
